The absolutely perfect fall day at Cades Cove! So I could capture some of the fall, Buddy and I camped a few days in the Smoky Mountains. One afternoon we jumped over to Cades Cove and landed at this sweet spot in this beautiful pasture Between the Mountains. I’m not big on painting in public places, but I was sorely out of luck in this, the most popular of all our National Parks.
It took some time to settle down because the surroundings were simply overwhelming! But after a long summer of green, green and more green, it was pure fun to mix and see new colors. This was a painting that flowed and was simply meant to be.
